As a lifelong dancer, founder, creative director and lead photographer, Caylena Cahill, has a keen sense of dancer placement that other photographers won’t grasp. Dance is all about the beauty of motion, so her years of classical ballet and tap training allows her to anticipate “the moment” to capture a dancer at the peak of a move, with a clarity and sharpness only possible through a deep knowledge of dance and photography.
We provide a fresh approach to team and year-end recital costume portraiture, and offer a 100% digital ordering system for the parents of your dancers. Our tiered collection pricing structure reflects the knowledge that most students participate in more than one number, and thus offers parents the ability to order photos from all of their son/daughter’s dances. We use a portable photo studio that we set up in your location, which includes professional lighting and seamless background paper. If you prefer, we can rent a soundstage/studio. Our default background is a medium gray, but with enough advance notice, we can accommodate other, custom color options.
We also do on-location or studio shoots with individual dancers/choreographers, that they can use as press photos or images for social media. For more information on such sessions, see information on Custom Branding Portrait Sessions.
Our work with dance companies and dance studios can also be used for advertising to announce performances, attract new students or donors, if you are a non-profit. Whether you need photos from in advance or during a performance, open house or other event, we’re here for you!
